Service Description
This program is for ages 10 to 12, all levels of skill/experience are welcome! Whether your child is new to climbing or has some experience already, they will progress from their individual climbing level in climbing technique, body awareness, and problem-solving abilities - while in a fun and collaborative setting! They will enjoy a mix of bouldering and top-rope climbing, and learn how to put on a harness correctly and how to belay. Our emphasis will be on managing risk safely, advancing climbing skills, and having fun! Registration fee also includes a 12 week membership to VA (for the duration of the course)! Please note: This course is running on Thursdays, September 21st to December 7th, from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. If this is your child's first time coming to VA, please fill out a waiver (see the 'about' tab above) prior to September 21st. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear clothes that allow for lots of movement! The registration fee includes use of VA's belay devices, harnesses, and climbing shoes, but your child can also climb in clean runners if they prefer. Registration Fee: $435 + tax
