Service Description
*There is still space available in this course, participants may register after the start date for a pro-rated amount. Please call or ask at the front desk to register. This program is for ages 13 to 16, all skill/experience levels are welcome! Participants will be bouldering and top-rope climbing, learning how to belay, establishing a solid base of climbing skills, learning to work with fear and risk safely, and building community in a collaborative environment. Our emphasis will be on managing risk safely, learning and improving upon foundational climbing skills, and having fun! Registration fee also includes a 12 week membership to VA (for the duration of the course)! Please note: This course is running on Thursdays, September 29th to December 15th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. If this is your child's first time coming to VA, please fill out a waiver (see the 'about' tab above) prior to September 29th. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear clothes that allow for lots of movement! The registration fee includes use of VA's belay devices, harnesses, and climbing shoes, but your child can also climb in clean runners if they prefer. Registration Fee: $425 + tax
