Service Description
*There is still space available in this course, participants may register after the start date for a pro-rated amount. Please call or ask at the front desk to register. This program is for ages 9 to 12, all levels of skill/experience are welcome! Whether your child is new to climbing or has some experience already, they will progress from their individual climbing level in climbing technique, body awareness, and problem-solving abilities - while in a fun and collaborative setting! They will enjoy a mix of bouldering and top-rope climbing, and learn how to put on a harness correctly and how to belay. Our emphasis will be on managing risk safely, advancing climbing skills, and having fun! Registration fee also includes a 12 week membership to VA (for the duration of the course)! Please note: This course is running on Wednesdays, September 28th to December 14th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. If this is your child's first time coming to VA, please fill out a waiver (see the 'about' tab above) prior to September 28th. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear clothes that allow for lots of movement! The registration fee includes use of VA's belay devices, harnesses, and climbing shoes, but your child can also climb in clean runners if they prefer. Registration Fee: $425 + tax
