Service Description
This program is for parents and children (ages 5 to 10), all levels of skill/experience are welcome! Instructors will teach basic climbing skills for all participants, how parents can support their children for bouldering and top-rope climbing, and belaying for parents. Our emphasis will be on managing risk safely, learning the basics of climbing, and having fun with family members! Registration fee also includes a 12 week membership to VA (for the duration of the course)! Please note: This course is running on Saturdays, September 23rd to December 9th, from 9:45 to 10:45 am. We require a 1:1 ratio of parent to child! If this is you/your child's first time coming to VA, please fill out a waiver (see the 'about' tab above) prior to September 23rd. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear clothes that allow for lots of movement. The registration fee includes use of VA's belay devices, harnesses, and climbing shoes, but participants can also climb in clean runners if they prefer. Registration Fee: $360 + tax
