Rock Du Bonnet Climbing Festival is coming to you on October 5th, 2024! The Rock du Bonnet Climbing Festival is Manitoba's only outdoor climbing festival, hosted by Vertical Adventures, and is open to all to attend. Rock du Bonnet is a celebration of climbing that aims to make outdoor climbing more accessible to the Winnipeg climbing community. On Saturday, October 5th, our volunteer guides will take groups of climbers of all skill levels on a tour of the fantastic bouldering that Lac du Bonnet has to offer. This event is open to anyone from experienced climbers to people that have just started climbing in the gym and are curious what it's like to get outside. All ages are welcome, but children will need to be accompanied by a parent and be aware it is an uncontrolled environment. Spectators are also welcome! Early bird registration is $50 and runs until September 18th. Early bird guarantees you a Rock du Bonnet shirt! Registration after September 18th is $60 and doesn’t include an RDB limited edition shirt. Participants can register in one of the following categories: Rec or Open. The top placements in each category will receive prizes. While the main goal of this event is to get as many people outside as possible and to have a great time, we also want to reward those that crush on the day! If competing isn't your thing but you still want to take part, that's totally fine! With your registration, you will automatically be entered to win one of our awesome draw prizes (prizes and sponsors TBA)! Not only this but your registration also gives you access to the knowledge of our volunteers, a unique way to experience outdoor climbing, and food at the end of the day. (Please let us know your dietary restrictions on the registration form). This event will take place near Lac du Bonnet on Channel Drive, in the area known as the Lowballs. A full schedule and more details for the day will be released soon and updated here. Crash pads will be provided, however please bring your own if you have one!
