Summer Youth Program (ages 8-14)

Service Description

Participants will have fun learning the basics of rock climbing while challenging themselves mentally and physically! Each day is balanced with exploring the different types of climbing within the facility, games and activities that maintain enthusiasm and prevent climbing burnout, and refining climbing skills as they progress. We want every kid to leave feeling challenged and eager for future climbing! This program is appropriate for youth new to climbing, those who want to climb in a non-competitive atmosphere, and beginner to intermediate level youth looking to develop their climbing skills! Be prepared by bringing non-restrictive athletic clothing, a sweater for breaks, a water bottle, and snacks. Rental gear is included (harness, climbing shoes), but participants can bring clean runners as well. Details: 3 hours per class from 1 pm - 4pm. 2 classes each session, Tuesday and Thursday. Rental gear included. 1 to 6 ratio of instructors to kids. Prerequisites: 8 - 14 years old Cost: $80.00 + tax ($40 deposit, the remainder will be paid on the first day). If it's a larger group with more variety in age/ability, participants will be placed into smaller groups as is appropriate. Each session will run for 2 days, Tuesday and Thursday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Participants may sign up for more than one session if interested, the instructor(s) will work with each individual to challenge them at their level and keep the progress and fun going!
